OCEAN VIEW, Del. – The Felician College men's golf team began its spring season by dropping a dual match to host Wilmington (Del.) University, 305-393, on Friday afternoon at Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club. Wilmington is the three-time defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference champion.
All five members of Wilmington's starting line-up shot 77 or better on the 6,900-yard par-72. Felician's No. 1 player, sophomore Andrew Geesey (Red Lion, Pa.) fired a 79, and tied for sixth place out of 12 competitors.
The Wildcats had two players compete as individuals who turned in rounds of 79 and 84. Rounding out the top 10 were Felician freshman Justin Rasmus (Colonia, N.Y.) (9th, 93) and senior Chris Zito (South Hackensack, N.J.) (10th, 95).
