RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician University junior Nicole Aumack (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) has been named to the 2019 All-East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Bowling Second Team. The conference's award winners were voted on by its 13 head coaches and announced at the league's annual awards banquet on Friday night at the Crowne Plaza in Reading, Pa. Felician is an associate member of the ECC only for the sport of women's bowling.
Aumack, a 5-foot-5 right-hander, is an All-ECC honoree for the first time. She was the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2017 and is a two-time all-ECC Tournament selection. She is only Felician's second all-conference performer in the Golden Falcons' four years as an ECC member. Jessica Zalewski was voted to the Second Team following the 2016-17 campaign.
Aumack, Felician's team captain, was a starter in all 11 tournaments in 2018-19. She completed the regular season ranked ninth on the ECC's Player Composite Performance Index.
"Nicole was a true captain," said first-year Felician head coach Taylor Strothmann. "She spent a great deal of time worrying about the rest of the team, sometimes at the expense of her own game. Not only does that make this an even greater accomplishment, but I think that Nicole will improve and be even better next year."
Aumack led Felician and was 11th in the ECC in Baker Frame average at 18.40. She averaged 182.3 in regular-season traditional games. Aumack was the ECC Bowler of the Week for Mar. 13, and the following weekend made the all-tournament team at the Northeast Region Season Ender in New Castle, Del.
Aumack is a 2016 graduate of Brick Township High School.
The Golden Falcons (47-61) tied for ninth place in the ECC Championship tournament for the second consecutive year after dropping both of their playoff matches on Saturday at Hiester Lanes in Reading.
Felician now has had seven student-athletes earn all-conference honors this academic year.
