WILMINGTON, DEL- Felician men's golf team closed out its 2022 season at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational at Rock Manor Golf Course Wednesday morning. The team finished in 2nd place out of 4 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference teams with an overall score of 310.
The Golden Falcons were up against Goldey-Beacom College, Jefferson University, and Chestnut Hill College on the 18-hole, 6,405-yard golf course. Freshman duo, Cesar Castellano (Madrid, Spain) and Pablo Hidalgo (Marbella, Spain), placed in the top-10 on the day.
Castellano was the leader of the pack with a carded score of 74 (+3) in 4th place. Felician went on to secure the 10-11 spots where 2 Golden Falcons shared an 11th place finish. Hidalgo finished in 10th shooting 78 (+7) and Kristian O'Grady (Thiells, NY) and James Surovcik (Philadelphia, PA) tied for 11th with 79 (+8). Dylan Molloy (Spotswood, NJ) tied for 17th with a score of 87 (+16).
Felician had an eventful Fall Season; Hidalgo was a three-time CACC Rookie of the Week honoree and Castellano notched a Rookie of the Week honors of his own but was also named to the All-Tournament team for his performance at the CACC Championships (71-74-79- 224 (+11)) on Oct 3-4. The squad finished in 5th out of 7 with an overall score of 938 (+86) at the championship.
