Rutherford, NJ – The Felician University Women's Basketball team hit the road to take on one of the country's best teams on Saturday afternoon, suffering a loss to Assumption in Worchester, Massachusetts.
 
Assumption, currently ranked No. 13 in the D2CSC Women's Basketball Poll, is among the country's top Division II programs for a reason. The Greyhounds got off to a hot start on their home court and never looked back, as their steady offensive attack and strong defensive effort were too much for the Golden Falcons to overcome.
 
Ten different Golden Falcons scored in this game, led by Ane Valle's eight points.
 
While the outcome wasn't what the Golden Falcons hoped for, it was a great early season test for them as they prepare for a challenging basketball slate ahead. Having played four games over the last eight days, the Golden Falcons will have some time off before they travel to New York City to take on Lincoln University on Friday morning.
