Rutherford NJ - Felician University Women's Basketball headed up the road to go up against Molloy University this afternoon. In a matchup that the Golden Falcons did their best to stay competitive in throughout the entire contest, they would ultimately fall 69-51 today. Here's what transpired during today's contest.
First Half - Felician started strong, answering Molloy's early basket with a layup by Ane Valle to tie the game at 2-2. Although Molloy jumped ahead 6-2, Felician stayed resilient. Valle remained aggressive, converting another layup at 7:24 to close the gap to 8-4. Deviney Jackson's hustle on the boards led to a key tip-in at 6:55, trimming the deficit to just two points at 8-6. Felician's defensive effort, led by Stephanie Formby, created key opportunities. Formby not only added a steal but also assisted on Valle's jumper at 6:38, tying the game at 8-8. Even as Molloy edged ahead late in the half, Felician continued to fight.
