Rutherford, NJ- The Felician University women's basketball team fought hard against a very good non-conference opponent but suffered a loss to the visiting Lock Haven Bald Eagles by a score of 63-52 on Friday afternoon at JJJ Gymnasium.

Lock Haven pulled out to an 11-point lead in the first half, but the Golden Falcons responded. A pair of three-pointers made by Erica Egan helped Felician cut the lead to just six heading into the break.

After scoring the final five points of the first half, Felician started the half with four more to cut the Bald Eagles lead to just two. The two sides would go back and forth in the third quarter before the Golden Falcons regained the lead just under the four-minute mark of the third quarter.

While the two teams would continue to compete hard, Lock Haven was able to pull away for good in the final quarter of play.

Stephanie Formby led the Golden Falcons with 14 points while Ane Valle scored all 11 of her points in the second half. Felician received some timely production from Sonia Martinez, who finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

The Felician University Women's Basketball program will have a week off before they travel to Pace University for another non-conference contest. Fans who are interested in watching the game will need to pay for the live stream that is provided by Pace.
