Felician University Swimming put together a strong showing against Manhattan, winning the combined meet 273–245. The Golden Falcons dominated the women's side 186–81, while the men delivered several standout swims of their own.
Women's Highlights
Felician opened with a win in the 200 Medley Relay, as
Nicolette Wight, Isabella Gautier du Defaix, Elena Kaufmann, and
Tijana Lukic finished in 1:51.53.
Distance Events:
Manca Petric and
Martyna Bugala went 1–2 in the 1000 Free, with Petric also winning the 500 Free and Bugala placing third.
Stephanie Schneider added a key fourth-place finish in the 500.
Individual Medley & Butterfly:
Felician swept the 200 IM through
Kaufmann, Gautier du Defaix, and
Schneider, and Kaufmann went on to win the 100 IM and 100 Fly.
Gautier du Defaix also won the 100 Breaststroke and 50 Breast, with
Christine Fabo Mbite taking second in both.
Sprints & Backstroke:
Wight swept the backstroke events, winning the 50 Back and 100 Back.
Didi Higgs won the 50 Free and placed second in the 100 Free, while
Amelia Mayers won the 100 Free and finished second in the 200 Free.
Alice Sjoden Sikstom added a win in the 50 Butterfly.
Felician wrapped up the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 Free Relay (Wight, Mayers, Petric, Higgs).
Men's Highlights
The Golden Falcon men opened with a statement win in the 200 Medley Relay, as
Malik Biad, Markus Halvorsen, Luke O'Mara, and
Kasper Laerum swam 1:37.26.
Top Performances:
Biad swept his events with wins in the 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, and 100 IM.
Halvorsen added victories in the 100 Breast and 50 Breast, with
Alberto Garcia Segura finishing second in both and second in the 100 IM.
Laerum chipped in points across the sprint freestyle events, highlighted by a 49.81 in the 100 Free, while O'Mara and freshman
Nick Kelly added scoring in multiple stroke and sprint events.
Felician's men also delivered a quick 1:31.15 in the 200 Free Relay during an exhibition swim by Biad, Garcia Segura, Kelly, and Laerum.
