Track & Field Delivers Records at TCNJ Invitational

Ewing, N.J. - The men's and women's track and field teams competed at The College of New Jersey Invitational, highlighted by several personal records. 

Men's Highlights
  • Christian Grant had a strong showing in the 100m, qualifying for the final with an 11.12, and finishing sixth overall.
  • Amair Buffaloe delivered one of the top performances, placing third in the 200m with a time of 22.72. He also led the team in the 400m, running a solid 52.35.
  • Devir Britton hit a personal record in the 100m prelims with a time of 11.35 in his freshman season. 
  • Freshman star Alberto Liste advance through the 110m hurdles prelims and finished sixth in the final, while also running the 400m hurdles.
  • The 4x100 relay team stole the show, taking first place with a time of 43.37.
  • In the field events, Shane Connell shined in the high jump, placing second with a clearance of 1.89m. 
  • Amir Spruell-Everson had a solid throwing performance, finishing ninth in the hammer and competing in both discus and shot put. 
  • In the 3000m steeplechase, Daniel Chinchilla ran a strong race to finish fourth overall. 
Women's Highlights
  • Chimeremya Odoh continued her impressive freshman campaign with a second place finish in the 100m finals (12.65). Odoh also placed second in the 200m with a time of 26.34.
  • Senior Chantoya Thomas placed sixth in the 100m finals and third in the 200m.
  • Aarysa Moore hit a new Division II top-75 national mark in the 100m hurdles prelims (14.78), though she did not run in the final. Moore placed third in the long jump with a 5.12m leap. 
  • Jada Carroll took third in the 100m hurdles, adding a fifth-place long jump finish to her day.
  • In the 400m, Imani Fitzpatrick won her heat and placed first overall with a time of 58.79.
  • A new personal best for Anne Noonan occurred in the 400m hurdles, running a 1:07.83 to finish second. 
  • In distance, Callie negro ran a PR in the 5000m with a time of 20:53.52.
  • Daliana Rojas had a breakout meet in the throws, setting personal records in both discus (35.74m) and hammer (32.65m).
  • Another strong all-around showing from Destiny Fields led to a fourth place finish in the shot put, 10th in discus, and also hitting a PR in the hammer throw. 
  • Selena Ertell-Earsley took third in the triple jump with a mark of 9.90m.
  • The 4x100 relay team finished first with a total time of 50.08.
