Elmira, NY – Felician delivered a statement performance at the Regional Tournament, finishing fourth overall as a team while qualifying five wrestlers for the NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championship.
Theresa Zeppetelli, the reigning region champion, claimed first place at 110 with a dominant finals performance, pinning Ahsia Torres of Sacred Heart at the 3:00 mark. Zeppetelli's championship run secured her return to the national stage.
Christina Borgmann joined her atop the podium at 131, earning a hard-fought 4–2 decision over Jazmene Molina of Western New England in the first-place match. Borgmann, also a region champion, sealed her qualification with another clutch performance.
Emily Doolittle battled her way to a third-place finish at 103, securing her national berth with a commanding 16–5 technical fall over Lilie Normanie of New England College in 3:38 in the consolation final.
Lina Rodriguez added to Felician's national qualifiers with a third-place finish at 138, earning a decisive 13–2 technical fall over Madison Canales of Sacred Heart in 3:35.
At 207, Talisha Lewis advanced to the championship match and finished as the regional runner-up, marking her second consecutive year qualifying for the NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championship.
Liliana Zaku-Ramos contributed to the team's fourth-place finish with a fourth-place showing at 124, adding valuable team points in a competitive regional field.
With two regional champions, five national qualifiers, and a fourth-place team finish, the Golden Falcons continue to build momentum heading into the NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championship.
