Quay Baskerville -- 2018

Quay Baskerville

Quay Baskerville’s time as a Felician women’s basketball player spanned only 54 games. They were enough, however, for her to leave her imprint on the program.

Baskerville’s playing career took her from Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Conn., to Globe Institute of Technology in New York City before she ever set foot in Rutherford. As a junior at Felician, she helped the Golden Falcons become one of Division II’s most improved teams -- from a 5-22 record before her arrival to 16-11 in 2009-10. For her efforts, she was elected to the all-CACC Third Team.

Her senior campaign remains one of the best single seasons in Felician history. She averaged 18.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.9 steals as the Golden Falcons reached the CACC playoffs for the first time in the previous five years. Baskerville was voted to the all-CACC First Team and the all-East Region Second Team.

In two seasons for coach Steve Fagan, Baskerville accumulated 887 points, 434 rebounds, and 116 steals as the Golden Falcons went 34-20. She ranks second in the Felician record book in career points per game (16.4) and third in career rebounding average (8.0).

Baskerville earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Felician in 2011. Upon graduation, she returned to Connecticut and volunteered as a tutor and life skills instructor for the Supreme Athlete Mentoring Program in Hartford.

Baskerville is employed as a parent engagement specialist for Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Magnet Middle School. She resides in Hartford with her son, Jeremiah R. Edwards Jr. Baskerville also has an adopted daughter, Nyasia, who attends Clark Atlanta University.
