After a standout career at Vineland High School, Audrey Lundy was
one of the early stars of the women’s basketball program.
Lundy joined Felician in the athletics department’s third
year of existence. That season, the women’s basketball team,
guided by coach Ben DiNallo Jr., set a school record for victories
that still stands. Lundy helped the Golden Falcons to a won-lost
record of 19-12 in 1998-99, which ended with a trip to the NAIA
Division II Independent Regional.
Lundy went on to become a four-year starter at shooting guard and
small forward for the Golden Falcons. As a sophomore, she was an
Honorable-Mention All-New England Collegiate Conference selection
and led Felician to its only appearance in the Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference (CACC) finals. Two years later, she became
the first Golden Falcon female to average a
“double-double” for a season en route to First-Team
All-CACC honors.
Lundy was Felician’s second female 1,000-point scorer, and
her career total of 1,428 points is still second on the
College’s all-time list. She holds the school record of 22
rebounds in a game, and her 607 career boards rank third in school
annals. Lundy is also the program’s all-time leader in
free-throw percentage, shooting at a .788 clip (592-751).
Since graduating from Felician with a bachelor’s degree in
sociology, Lundy has worked in social services. She specialized in
assisting developmentally disabled children and adults with
securing necessary resources. She also spent three seasons as an
assistant women’s basketball coach at Bloomfield College.
In March 2014, Lundy relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she is
employed as a senior case manager for the Lighthouse Sheakley
Center for Youth. There, she helps young homeless individuals learn
to become self-sufficient. She plans to pursue a master’s of
social work from the University of Cincinnati.
