Amanda Scibetta Mammolito - 2016

Mike Rooth Amanda Scibetta-Mammolito had to wait for her opportunity for collegiate success on the cross-country trails. When her chance came, she did not miss it.

Mammolito was forced to sit through a “redshirt” season after enrolling at Felician in 2004. She began to acclimate herself to the college scene the following season, and by the middle of her sophomore 2006 campaign, she was the Golden Falcons’ No. 1 runner.

On Oct. 21 of that year, Mammolito won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship race, clocking 21 minutes and nine seconds for 5,000 meters. She was named the CACC Runner of the Year, only the second Felician female to accomplish that feat.

Mammolito completed her Felician career as a three-time all-CACC performer. She owns three of the Golden Falcons’ top 10 5,000-meter times, including a career-best 19:56 on Oct. 13, 2007, which ranks third in program annals. She still holds seven school course records.

Mammolito graduated cum laude from Felician in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and art. She is the first women’s cross-country runner to enter the Felician Athletics Hall of Fame.

A graduate of Middletown North High School, Mammolito lives in Middletown with her husband, Mike, and daughter, Ava. She is a paraprofessional at Bayview Elementary School, and coaches cross-country and outdoor track & field at Thorne Middle School.
