Frank Quintana - 2016

Frank Quintana Frank Quintana is one of the Felician baseball program’s most prolific offensive players.

A two-time all-CACC and two-time all-region selection, Quintana completed his Golden Falcon career with 207 base hits. He is still the Felician single season and career leader in both home runs (16, 35) and runs batted in (59, 147).

Quintana capped his career with one of the top seasons enjoyed by any Golden Falcon in any sport. In 2007, the first-baseman hit .405 and slugged .768 with a .504 on-base percentage. In 49 games, he stroked 19 doubles and 16 home runs, scored 59 runs, drove in 59 more, and stole 23 bases.

Following the 2007 campaign, Quintana was named the Player of the Year by the CACC, ECAC, and New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association. CoSIDA tabbed him as a Daktronics Honorable-Mention All-American, making him Felician’s first All-American in any sport since the Golden Falcons reclassified from the NAIA to NCAA Division II.

Quintana is a native of Miami, Fla., and a graduate of South Miami High School. Following his Felician career, he played one professional season in the independent Continental Baseball League. He then returned home to Florida and completed his B.A. at Florida Atlantic University in 2010.
 
Quintana resides in Miami with his wife, Cary, and daughter, Ellie Grace. He is employed as a Florida state trooper.
