James Roy Vander Wiele... dependable top-of-pack performer when healthy.
2010: Earned third all-CACC honor with fourth place result at conference championship... season-best 26:48 for 8K at CTC meet 10/16... top ten in all four regular-season meets he entered.... team’s No. 1 man at NCAA Regional, placing 28th overall.
2009: Fought through injury-plagued season to earn his second all-CACC award... finished 13th at league meet in 28:59 for 8K... ran in only 4 of 9 meets, but was team’s No. 2 man each time.
2008: Won CACC Championship meet with 8,000-meter time of 26:43... was named conference Runner of the Year and Rookie of the Year, and helped Golden Falcons to fifth consecutive league team title... set school record for placement at an NCAA regional meet with his 22nd (32:47 for 10K)... team's No. 1 man at all six events... four-time CACC Rookie of the Week... then-school-record 26:26 for 8K at Paul Short Run 10/3.
Prior to Felician: All-state Group 2, all-county, and all-conference for coach Rick Mullins at Pequannock Township... also played soccer.
