Joel Garcia.
2017: Ran all seven races, and was Felician's frontrunner in all but one... his 16:38 at the Jersey Blues Invitational was the second-fastest 5,000-meter time in program history... placed seventh in that race... was fourth at the Ted Owen Invitational (29:11 for 8K)... season-best 8K of 28:07 at Paul Short Run... finished 28th at the CACC Championship (28:38).
Prior to Felician: Helped lead Passaic High and coach Dennys Falcon to the 2016 Passaic County title... finished fourth in the county championship race and was named first-team all-county and first-team all Big North Liberty... also participated in indoor and outdoor track & field.
Personal: Son of Yesenia Vasquez... majoring in nursing... high-school assistant coach Shanae Pritchett is a Felician graduate... born 12/17/98 in Jersey City, N.J.
