Felician University

Russell 'Rusty' Thomsen, a lifelong New Jersey native, joined Felician University for this first season as a Golden Falcon during the 2023-24 academic year. Rusty enters his 22nd season of coaching the sport of bowling while his expereinces range from collegaite at New Jersey City University (NJCU) to high school with the Saint Joseph's High School Metuchen boys bowling team.

During his time at NJCU, he was the assistant coach from 2001 to 2012 to ultimately become the head of the squad during the 2020-2023 seasons. Aside from his coaching background, he is part of the Professional Bowling Assosication (PBA) since 2007 where he won four Regional Titles and finished 17th at the U.S. Open in 2013. To top that off he has 135 perfect 300 games under his belt.
