Ken Berk

Ken Berk

Ken Berk took on his first collegiate head coaching position when he was chosen to lead Felician's startup women's swimming program in December 2021, but he is no stranger to the northern New Jersey swimming and diving scene.

Berk is a member of the NJSIAA Hall of Fame. For more than two decades, he was the head coach of the boys' and girls' teams at Rutherford High School, guiding the Bulldogs to numerous division titles. He retired from high school teaching and coaching in 2015, and became an age-group coach, and later the head coach, of the Wyckoff YMCA Sharks. Under his watch, the club has had multiple Junior National qualifiers and state record holders and a consistent Top 20 national ranking.

A 1987 graduate of William Paterson College, Berk began his coaching career with the Pioneers. He was on staff as both WPC teams qualified for multiple NCAA Division III National Championship meets and garnered Metropolitan Swim Conference and All-American recognition. He earned an M.S. degree from Ramapo College in 1999, and resides in Franklin Lakes.
