Cherie Ware-Powell

Cherie Ware-Powell is a USATF-certified coach with more than 25 years of coaching experience. She began her career in 2000 as Head Coach of the Englewood Junior Track & Field program, where she has developed numerous USATF Junior Olympic qualifiers and All-Americans. Since 2015, she has also served on the board of the New Jersey Striders Track & Field Club.

Prior to Felician, Ware-Powell spent four years as Head Coach of Cross Country and Track & Field at St. Vincent Academy in Newark, New Jersey. In 2022, she was recruited to join the Felician University coaching staff as a sprint coach.

During her five years with the Golden Falcons, Ware-Powell has helped coach the women’s program to multiple CACC and ECC championships. She currently serves as Assistant Track & Field Coach/Sprints, specializing in sprint development and working with both the men’s and women’s programs.
