Andrew Toriello was officially named Director of Athletics at Felician University on September 1, 2022, following a national search. A proud alumnus and the first Felician graduate to serve in this role, Toriello is the fourth Athletic Director in Golden Falcon history. He previously served as Interim Director beginning in August 2022, during which time he led transformational growth, adding five full-time staff positions and capturing a CACC Championship in men’s basketball.
Since stepping into athletic leadership, Toriello has rejuvenated Felician athletics brand and identity, overseeing 21 NCAA Division II programs, 450 student-athletes, and a staff of 75. He is responsible for managing the department’s comprehensive operating budget, aligning resources to support competitive success, program growth, and student-athlete development across all sports. Under his direction, Felician has expanded sport offerings, enhanced fundraising efforts, restructured internal operations, and elevated the student-athlete experience.
Toriello began his full-time tenure with Felician Athletics in 2015 as Assistant Athletic Director for Recreation and Club Sports. He was promoted to Associate Athletic Director in 2018, where he directed department budgeting and fundraising initiatives. From 2017 to 2021, he served as Felician’s NCAA Compliance Officer, ensuring institutional control and eligibility certification for over 240 student-athletes across all sports.
Before transitioning to athletics, Toriello served Felician University for five years as a Financial Aid Counselor and Systems Specialist. He earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Felician in 2014 and later completed his M.S. in Sport Management from Liberty University.
Toriello also launched Felician’s intercollegiate women’s bowling program in 2014 as its founding head coach. Over four seasons, he led the team to 200 dual wins and multiple top-three finishes in the East Coast Conference Championship. A lifelong competitor, he has bowled three sanctioned perfect games, including two in a single day.
A 2005 graduate of Ramapo High School (NY), Toriello has spent his professional career dedicated to Felician’s mission and community. His leadership continues to position the Golden Falcons for long-term competitive and operational success.
