Kayla DeVito (Jones) was promoted to the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Academic Support, in the summer of 2024.  Kayla plays a vital role in connecting student-athletes with their academic and career goals, fostering resilience, integrity, and tenacity among them. Leveraging her extensive experience, she continues to provide comprehensive support for student-athletes both on and off the field, ensuring they are well-prepared for success beyond their college years.

Kayla joined the Felician Athletic Department in the summer of 2022. Initially serving as the Athletics Administrative Assistant, she was instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the department for two years.

Before her tenure at Felician University, Kayla was the head coach of the Long Island University Division I Women’s Bowling program from 2012 to 2022. In her first year, she was named Northeast Conference Coach of the Year after leading her team to a then-program-record 53 victories and a trip to the Northeast Conference Championship. Over her 10-year career with LIU Athletics, she led the program to eight NEC tournament appearances and regular top-25 national rankings, finishing with a combined 588-474 record.

As a coach, Kayla guided numerous athletes to individual All-Conference, All-Regional, and All-American athletic and academic honors. In 2014-15, LIU earned national recognition for their academic success, receiving the National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Scholars Team award—the organization’s most prestigious academic accolade.

Kayla's journey in athletics began as a standout bowler at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. A four-year letterwinner, she was named NCAA Division II Bowler of the Year twice (2008-2009 and 2011-2012) and Division II Rookie of the Year in 2008-2009. A three-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), and National Tenpin Coaches Association Academic (NTCA) All-American, she was a four-time team MVP and led Kutztown to its first-ever NCAA Bowling Championship appearance as a junior. She was a four-time All-NEC member and was named the Kutztown University Female Athlete of the Year in her senior year. She was inducted into the Kutztown Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020.

Kayla earned her bachelor's degree in Leisure and Sports Studies from Kutztown University in 2012. Upon joining Felician, she has continued her education and is expected to graduate with a Master of Business Administration in the Fall of 2024.

Kayla resides in Caldwell with her husband, Thomas, and daughter, Gabreilla.
