Rivera begins his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Felician University in August 2025.
Prior to joining the collegiate ranks, Rivera spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Immaculate Heart Academy (N.J.), where he guided the Blue Eagles to back-to-back New Jersey state championships. In his first season, Rivera was named to the AVCA Thirty Under 30 High School Coaches list while guiding IHA to a 27-1 record, a No. 1 state ranking, and a No. 25 national ranking by MaxPreps. Over two seasons, the Blue Eagles compiled a combined 53-5 record.
During Rivera’s time at IHA, the program produced three AVCA High School All-Americans, two New Jersey MaxPreps Players of the Year, and one MaxPreps All-American, further solidifying IHA as one of the nation’s premier programs.
In addition to his high school coaching success, Rivera serves as a National Head Coach for Sideout Sports Volleyball Club, developing athletes for the collegiate level since 2021.
Rivera earned a B.S. in Exercise Science: Preclinical and Professional Studies in 2023 and a M.A.T. in PE & Health (P-12) in 2025 from Montclair State University.
