Box Score PHILADELPHIA – Felician College senior forward Stephanie Jimenez (Fair Lawn, NJ) scored with six minutes, nine seconds remaining in regulation to left Felician College to a 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer victory over host Holy Family University on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field. Felician (7-2, 6-1 CACC) has won four consecutive matches.
The Golden Falcons survived a 21-11 disadvantage in shots. Holy Family had the better of play in the opening period, but it was the visitors who got on the scoreboard first. Junior JoJo Pisani (Wyckoff, NJ) scored off an assist from classmate Emily Gleason (Hanover Park, NJ) in the 36th minute on just Felician's second shot of the game.
Holy Family's pressure finally paid off just over six minutes later when Megan Tole (Philadelphia, PA) found the back of the net after a set piece. The teams went into halftime tied, 1-1, and in an offensive minded second half, both goalkeepers protected the draw until Jimenez took a feed from sophomore Alysia Arcona (Hackettstown, NJ) and finished for the eventual game-winner.
Junior Allie Couzo (Sayreville, NJ), who has played every minute at keeper for Felician this season, earned the victory with eight saves. Rachel Dunkle (Blandon, PA) made four saves for HFU (4-5, 2-4), all in the second period.
Felician matched its victory total for all of last season, when it was 7-11. All three of the Golden Falcons' CACC road victories this season have come by a 2-1 score on a tie-breaking goal in the final 10 minutes of regulation.
