Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College's attempted comeback from a two-set deficit fell short in a 3-1 (25-17, 25-22, 18-25, 25-19) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball loss to host Bloomfield College on Thursday night at BC Gymnasium.
Felician junior Jenna Matesic (Paramus, NJ) posted her first double-double of the season with 14 kills and 13 digs. Her kill total was a season high for any Golden Falcon player. Sophomore middle Alexa Scrivanich (Paramus, NJ) hit .320 with 10 kills, and classmate Gabby Migliore (West Caldwell, NJ) accumulated 29 assists and 10 digs.
After taking the first set, Bloomfield (5-9, 4-7) overcame a 21-19 deficit in Set 2, winning six of the final seven points in the set to take control of the match. Felician (0-18, 0-11) stayed alive with the third-set victory, but in Set 4, the Deacons broke free from a 17-17 tie to clinch the match.
Sophomore Dominic Spivey (Newark, NJ) hit .375 with 16 kills to lead Bloomfield. The teams combined for 18 services aces and 20 service errors.
