Box Score NEW CASTLE, Del. – Felician College redshirt freshman Anni Polscher (Elmshorn, Germany) delivered 17 kills, but the Golden Falcons lost, 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-13), to host Wilmington (Del.) University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference interdivisional women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon at Pratt Gymnasium.
The 17 kills were a season high for Polscher, and the most any Felician player has recorded in a match this season. With five errors in 32 attempts on the day, Polscher turned in a .375 attack percentage. Felician (0-19, 0-12) hit .172 as a team, its best figure of the year.
Wilmington (11-6, 8-3) got off to a 15-9 lead in the first set. Trailing 24-17, Felician saved four set points before succumbing. Set 2 was deadlocked as late as 17-17 before the Wildcats ran off the final eight points. The hosts kept momentum and opened Set 3 with a 15-8 advantage, claiming the match shortly thereafter.
Felician received 25 assists from senior Megan Delamater (Paramus, NJ). Classmate Ashlee DiSalvo (Batavia, NY) led all players with 12 digs. Brooke Foskey (Elkton, MD) hit .385 with 13 kills to pace the Wildcats.
