Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Nyack College used a balanced offense and nine service aces to hand visiting Felician College a 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-19) defeat in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball action Tuesday night at Bowman Gym.
Despite the tightness of the first set, Nyack (4-8, 3-3) never trailed, jumping to leads of 5-1 and 11-5 before holding on. The Warriors led by as much as 18-6 in Set 2, holding Felician to a negative attack percentage for the set. The Godlen Falcons grabbed an early 5-1 lead in Set 3 before Nyack went ahead, 9-7, and systematically pulled away.
Freshman Anni Polscher (Elmshorn, Germany) led Felician with nine kills and added six digs. Junior Jenna Matesic (Paramus, NJ) posted eight kills and eight digs. Nyack's Tawnie Savage (Yuba City, CA) led all hitters in the match with 10 kills.
Felician (0-14, 0-7) received 13 digs from senior Ashlee DiSalvo (Batavia, NY).
