Box Score 2 FAIRMONT, W. Va. – The Felician College volleyball team completed its stay at Fairmont State University's two-day Falcon Fest Tournament on Saturday, losing a pair of non-conference matches at Joe Retton Arena by identical 3-0 scores. Felician (0-4) fell to West Liberty University in its morning match, and later was defeated by the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown.
West Liberty had a .353 team attack percentage in its 25-16, 25-13, 25-14 triumph. The Hilltoppers were led by 11 kills and eight digs from senior Melissa Pierzchala (Sylvania, OH), who hit .524. Senior Megan Delamater (Paramus, NJ) set up 19 assists for the Golden Falcons and freshman Anni Polscher (Elmshorn, Germany) added six kills and 12 digs.
Sophomore middle
Alexa Scrivanich (Paramus, NJ) hit .333 and led Felician with seven kills in a 25-13, 25-18, 25-12 setback to Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday afternoon. Polscher added five kills and eight digs. Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, PA) put down seven kills for the Mountain Cats, who had 16 players see action.
Felician plays its home and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Dominican (N.Y.) College.
