Box Score LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Georgian Court University displayed a balanced and versatile offense in its 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-19) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball victory over visiting Felician College on Saturday afternoon at the GCU Wellness Center.
The match concluded Felician's road schedule for 2012. The Golden Falcons (1-22, 1-16 CACC) will close the season by hosting first-place Dominican (N.Y.) College on Wednesday night and Philadelphia University on the afternoon of Nov. 3.
Felician senior outside Jenna Matesic (Paramus, N.J.) had seven kills on Saturday to lead all players. Sophomore libero Anni Polscher (Elmshorn, Germany) shared match-high honors with 11 digs.
Georgian Court (14-14, 11-6) totaled 24 kills in the match, but no Lion garnered more than five. GCU also held a 14-2 advantage in service aces. The Lion defense was also up to the task, holding Felician to 15 kills and a .000 attack percentage while running up edges in blocking, 15-4, and digs, 38-22.
Senior Maria Antimisiaris (Chania, Crete) accumulated five kills, six blocks and two aces for the hosts.
