Box Score NYACK, N.Y. – Felician College saw a third-set comeback fall short in its 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-22) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball loss to host Nyack College on Friday night at Bowman Gymnasium. Felician (1-13, 1-7 CACC) was held to a team attack percentage of .083 for the night.
Senior outside Jenna Matesic (Paramus, N.J.) topped the Golden Falcons with 11 kills and added eight digs. Felician sophomore outside Anni Polscher (Elmshorn, Germany) turned in eight kills, 15 digs and four service aces, and freshman teammate Sarah Shebel (Chandler, Ariz.) had a match-high 16 digs while playing libero for the first time as a collegian.
After scoring the first two points of the match, Felician fell behind, 3-2, and did not lead again in either of the first two sets. The visitors made a bid to extend the match when, trailing 19-13 in Set 3, they came back within a 22-21 deficit. But the Golden Falcons committed two attack errors in the final four points, and Nyack junior Jenny Schaller (Colorado Springs, Colo.) ended the match with an ace.
Senior Moana Masaniai (Waipahu, Hawaii) hit .400 with 16 kills and 12 digs for the Warriors (9-6, 6-2), who earned a sweep of their two-match regular-season series with Felician. Nyack posted a .263 team attack percentage.
