Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician College's third-set comeback attempt fell short as the Golden Falcons lost to visiting Post University, 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-23) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball action Wednesday night at Job Gymnasium.
Post (3-7, 2-0 CACC) never trailed in cruising to a first-set victory, and took a two-sets-to-none lead after jumping out to a 12-4 edge in Set 2. The Golden Falcons then made a furious attempt to extend the match, coming back from a 10-3 Set 3 deficit to take a 13-12 lead. The Eagles recovered to move ahead, 23-19, but Felician came within 24-23 before a kill by the visitors' Emily Wilman (Perth Amboy, N.J./Union Catholic) ended the match.
Sophomore Anni Polscher (Elmshorn, Germany/KGS Elmshorn) and freshman Olivia Emerson (Sparks, Nev./TMCC) led Felician (0-9, 0-3) with six kills and two blocks apiece. Post held the Golden Falcons to a .000 team attack percentage and owned a 12-5 advantage in service aces.
Wilman hit .273 on the night and led all players with 11 kills.
