Box Score LYNDHURST, N.J. – Holy Family University scored a tie-breaking goal with one minute, 12 seconds, to play in regulation, lifting the Tigers to a 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer victory over host Felician College on Saturday evening at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex.
With time winding down, Holy Family freshman Stephanie Fischer (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) played a ball wide left to classmate Lisa Abramski (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial). Abramski took a touch and sent a low diagonal shot across the box and into the lower right corner of the net.
Both teams got on the scoreboard in a rain-soaked first half. Abramski opened the scoring when she redirected a Madison Hudson (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville Trafalgar) free kick into the net for her first career goal 10:17 into the contest. Felician (4-4, 3-2 CACC) answered in the 23rd minute on a left-footed strike from junior Alysia Arcona (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) from 23 yards away.
After HFU (1-7, 1-3) held the Golden Falcons to two first-half shot attempts, Tiger goalkeeper Rachel Dunkle (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood) made two second-half saves to earn the victory. Felician's Allie Couzo (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) also had two saves. Holy Family finished with a 14-8 shot advantage for the night.
