NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Despite seven kills and 11 digs from senior outside Jenna Matesic (Paramus, N.J.), the Felician College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-21) non-conference decision to host Southern Connecticut State University on Wednesday night at Pelz Gym.

Felician (0-5) was limited to a .043 attack percentage for the night and yielded 11 service aces to the Owls. The Golden Falcons held 3-2 leads on two occasions but never led in any set thereafter.

Freshman Kayla Gallagher (Bloomingburg, N.Y.) posted six kills for the visitors, and Susan McKeever (North Fort  Myers, Fla.) (seven assists, two aces, 10 digs) was one of four Golden Falcons to reach double figures in digs.

Jade Black hit .545 with 12 kills and six digs for SCSU (5-1).
