Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Philadelphia University amassed an attack percentage of .316, putting down 40 kills against just nine attack errors, in its 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-9) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball victory over visiting Felician College on Saturday afternoon at the Gallagher Center.
Sophomore outside Olivia Emerson (Sparks, Nev.) had nearly half of Felician's kills on the day, putting down 12 out of the Golden Falcons' 25. Senior middle Alexa Scrivanich (Paramus, N.J.) had three kills and led the visitors with three blocks.
Despite the tight final score in the first set, Philadelphia (3-3, 2-0 CACC) never trailed, holding on after leading by as much as 17-9. Set 2 was even at 16-16 before the Rams took the lead for good on consecutive Terra Ecker (Chapel Hill, N.C.) kills followed by a service ace from Michele Chai (Sinking Spring, Pa.). A kill by Emerson allowed Felician to creep to within 19-18, but the Golden Falcons then made three straight errors to allow the hosts to pull away.
Philadelphia wasted little time in closing out the victory, jumping out to Set 3 leads of 9-3 and 18-5. Ecker and Jordan Milligan (Evansville, Ind.) combined on a block to end the match 61 minutes after the first service. The Rams hit .579 in the third set and forced Felician into nine attack errors.
Ram senior Brittany Olson (Sycamore, Ill.) came up with a double-double, producing 10 kills, and 10 digs. Ecker hit .389 with nine kills. Felician libero Patrycja Giemza (Dabrowa Gornicza, Poland) led all defenders with 13 digs and added three assists.
