ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – The Felician College women's volleyball team picked up its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory of 2015 with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-18) league win over host Dominican (N.Y.) College on Thursday night at the Hennessy Center..

Senior setter Susie McKeever (North Fort Myers, Fla.) paced Felician (3-13, 1-4) with nine kills, 17 assists, and six digs. McKeeever hit .450 on the night without an attack error. Junior libero Niccole Soriano (Elizabeth, N.J.) amassed 20 digs, four assists and three service aces for the Golden Falcons.

Felician recovered from a 16-13 deficit to win Set 1, taking the lead for good on three consecutive Soriano aces. Soriano's service game was crucial again in Set 2, as the Golden Falcons were down, 12-9, before recording nine consecutive points with their libero on serve. Set 3 featured five lead changes and eight ties, the last time at 14-14 before Felician stormed ahead to score 11 of the match's final 15 points.

The Golden Falcons helped force 28 Dominican attack errors and held the Chargers to a negative hitting percentage. Freshman middle Carmen Shaw (Gardnerville, Nev.) also had nine kills for Felician, and senior Pati Giemza (Dabrowa Gornicza, Poland) came off the bench to record 16 digs.

Senior Amanda Hallstein (Holtsville, N.Y.) recorded 20 assists, 10 digs and three blocks for the Chargers (2-14, 2-3). Junior Courtney Yeoman (Glenn Dale, Md.) had five kills and seven blocks, as the hosts put up a 9-3 blocking advantage.

Felician snapped losing streaks of 17 consecutive CACC matches and 12 in a row on the road (non-neutral) dating back to last season.

The Golden Falcons host Holy Family University on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Rutherford.
