The Golden Falcons fell behind, 4-1, in Set 5, but ran off five consecutive points, including two Calero kills and an ace from Amanda Coccia (Rahway, N.J./Roselle Catholic), to move ahead, 6-4. The edge was short-lived, however, as Bloomfield captured the next three rallies for a 7-6 lead.
With the set tied, 8-8, Bloomfield scored consecutive points on a Fabian kill and a Felician attack error, and never trailed again. Another Golden Falcon error put the visitors ahead, 12-9, and the teams traded side-outs the rest of the way. At 14-11, Felician saved one match point on a Calero kill, but on the next rally, Fabian answered to end the match one hour, 57 minutes after the first service.
Bear sophomore Danielle Quintanar (El Paso, Texas/Canutillo) posted 20 kills. Bloomfield freshman Ashley Stroot (Rolesville, N.C./Rolesville) hit .667 with 16 kills, eight digs, three blocks and three aces.

Felician saved three match points, but never took the lead, before succumbing, allowing Bloomfield to extend the match and eventually emerge victorious.
On Saturday, Felician travels to northern Delaware for the second time in five days. The Golden Falcons play a CACC contest at Goldey-Beacom College at noon.
