Holy Family Women's Soccer Defeats Felician, 2-0

Box Score

PHILADELPHIA – Felician University was unable to equalize after allowing an early goal and went down to an eventual 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer loss to host Holy Family University on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.

Felician junior goalkeeper Jamie Kazenmayer (Mooresville, N.C.) was credited with eight saves. Kazenmayer faced 25 shots and nine opponent corner kicks.

Holy Family (6-6, 6-2) cashed in on the game's first shot attempt for either team. The Tigers put a pair of passes together that set up senior midfielder Jess Elliott (Philadelphia, Pa.) for a goal just one minute, 55 seconds, into the action.

Helped by six Kazenmayer stops, the score remained 1-0 into halftime. With 24:43 left in regulation, the Tigers padded the lead on an unassisted marker by junior Hannah Derby (Pitman, N.J.), her sixth of the season.

The hosts limited Felician (3-7-1, 1-6-1) to three shot attempts, two by Danielle Jenkin (Pompton Lakes, N.J.).

The Golden Falcons play their next three games at home, including a Wednesday matinee against Nyack College at 3 p.m.
