Box Score LYNDHURST, N.J. – Chestnut Hill College emerged from the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex on Thursday afternoon with a 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer victory over host Felician University.
Junior forward Maddie Jimenez (Bensalem, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) notched an unassisted goal in each period for Chestnut Hill (1-4, 1-4 CACC). Jimenez got off eight shots on the day, by far the most active shooter on either side.
Both Jiminez tallies came on high blasts from more than 20 yards away, first in the 27th minute and again in the 85th. Felicain forced Griffin goalkeeper Amanda Ianniciello (Milton, Ontario/Bishop Redding) to make four saves to earn the shutout.
CHC amassed a 15-6 shot advantage. Sophomore Elisa Zuta (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) and freshman Carlie Koziol (East Rutherford, N.J./Becton) took two shots each for the Golden Falcons, with Zuta putting both on frame. Chestnut Hill also led, 5-2, in corner kicks.
Felician freshman keeper Alexis Lambertino (Hammonton, N.J./Sterling) stopped three shots.
The Golden Falcons (0-3, 0-3) are again in action on Saturday at noon against Georgian Court University in Lakewood, N.J.
