RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Felician women's soccer falls to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent Jefferson University, 2-1, during a Saturday night showdown at Tryon Field.

The Golden Falcons went down early from a third-minute Rams goal by Devin Sullivan. Laurel Erick received a pass and dribbled down the right sideline until she crossed the ball into the middle of the box and Sullivan kicked it past Felician goalie, Karlie Cabrera (Suwanee, Ga.)  

In the 27th-minute, Felician answered back with a goal. Katinka Ummels (Urmond, Netherlands) intercepted a pass from a Jefferson defender and immediately passed the ball to Kate Braun (Long Branch, NJ), who netted the ball from the 25-yard line to tie up the match, 1-1.

Rams freshman midfielder Gianna Garozzo came back six minutes later and scored the final goal of the game to ultimately lead her team to victory by a double assist from teammates Avery Nogami and Mia Ferrera. 

Felician's Cabrera made 10 saves on 20 shots, and Jefferson goalie Allie Bone made one save on two shots. Braun leads Felician with a total six goals, and Ummels recorded her second assist of the season.

Felician women's soccer falls to 2-9-2, 1-6 in CACC play. They host Dominican University (N.Y.) at Tryon Field at noon on Tuesday for their next conference match.
