Box Score WILMINGTON, DEL- Felician Women's Volleyball team (2-20 / 2-10 CACC) drops to the Wilmington (Del) Wildcats in a 3-0 (13-25, 10-25, 11-25) decision Saturday night in Wilmington, DE in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match up.
The Wildcats (11-12 / 8-3 CACC) posted a .411 kill percentage in the 3-set match and Heather Pedrick led the team with 11 kills on 23 attack (.304). Golden Falcons, Hannah Chiswick (Pittstown, NJ) was on the front end of the offense with 9 kills on 35 attacks (.057).
Felician was able to tally a total 100 attacks but only had 19 kills in the match. Up until the 4th point in the first set, the Golden Falcons were rallying with Wilmington, but 4-consecutive Wildcat points was able to give them momentum for a first set win, 25-13. Throughout the second and third set, Felician was able to stick with its competitor until a Wilmington rally to drop 10-25 and 11-25 respectively. Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, NM) finished the night with 18 assists and 11 digs, the most on the team.
Sara Betts (Goodyear, AZ) ended the match with a recorded 5 kills on 26 attacks (-.038) and5 digs and Cailey Jones (Bel Air, MD) had 4 kills on 13 attacks (.077).
The women's volleyball team is on the road again to face Bridgeport on Wednesday at 7pm in another CACC match-up. In the last meeting on September 21st, the Golden Falcons dropped 3-1 to Bridgeport, but forced a 4th set after a 25-21 second set win.
