Box Score RUTHERFORD, NJ- Felician Women's Volleyball (2-22 / 2-12 CACC) celebrated its senior day, but falls to Chestnut Hill, 3-1 (20-25, 17-25, 25-21, 10-25) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up at Job Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. 
Prior to the start of the match, Felician recognized and celebrated 4 seniors Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, NM), Jelena Vucic (Smederevo, Serbia), Catherine Lentsch (Elhorn, Neb.), and Hannah Chiswick (Pittstown, NJ) on their careers.
With the first set underway, Felician dropped 8-1 on 4 Chestnut Hill service aces, 2 Henielys Ramos kills, and 2 host errors. The Golden Falcons attempted to rally back with 3 kills, 2 from Sara Betts (Goodyear, AZ) and 1 from Chiswick to make the score 13-9. But the Griffins were able to push its lead to 17-9 with 4 more rally points. By the end of the first, Felician was battling to stay alive when it reached its 20th point, but 2 Angela April kills and a service ace put the first set to rest, 25-20.
Felician saw its first lead of the afternoon, 4-5, when Betts was able to record another kill and on a Chestnut Hill attack error. From there, the score volleyed back-and-forth until the Griffins were able to notch a 16-14 lead to run away with the second set win, 25-17.
Midway through the 3rd, the Golden Falcons rallied back from 10-6 deficit to tie it up at 15. Chiswick recorded a crucial kill to gain the lead, 16-15, to which the Griffins were not able to overcome, giving the third set win to Felician, 21-25 (2-1).
In the 4th and final set of the match, Chestnut Hill dominated the scoreboard closing out the day with a 25-10 win. Felician started off the set with a 6-2 lead on kills by Cailey Jones (Bel Air, MD), Betts and Lentsch. However, after the 6th point Chestnut Hill gathered 8 consecutive points to change the lead to 10-6. The Golden Falcons recorded its final point of the match from an attack error, but its opponents rallied 11 back-to-back points to end the set, 25-10, and to give the overall match win to Chestnut Hill, 3-1.
The Golden Falcons were led by 17 Betts kills (a career high) on 37 attacks (.378), Chiswick had 8 kills on 39 attacks (.051) and 10 digs, and Martinez with 14 digs.
The women's volleyball team will be back in action Tuesday to host Dominican (NY) at Job Gymnasium at 7pm.
