Box Score BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Women's Soccer senior, Katinka Ummels (Urmond, Netherlands), scores the Golden Falcons' only goal in her last collegiate game on Tuesday night during a 3-1 loss against Bloomfield College.
Bloomfield is on the scoreboard first when freshman Kayla Silva scores off of an assist by senior Alexis Hack. In the 19th minute, Hack one-touch passes the ball to Silva who dribbles into the 18-yard box and nets the ball in the bottom right corner past Felician goalkeeper Karlie Cabrera (Suwanee, Georgia).
Felician answered back in the 23rd minute from a penality kick goal by Ummels. Victoria Drotos (Woodridge, N.J.) receives the ball on the right side of the box and attempts to cross into the middle when a Bears defender recorded a handball to have Ummels take the PK. The senior was able put the ball into the lower left corner past Bloomfield goalkeeper, Mia Phillip, to tie up the game, 1-1.
Bloomfield came into the second half fighting, scoring two unanswered goals. In the 51st minute, senior O'Vanna Mullings, assisted by sophomore Leigha Bradding-Butler recorded the leading goal for Bloomfield. The second goal of the half was scored by Bradding-Butler, assisted by Mullings in the 66th minute to extend the Bears lead to 3-1.
Felician's Kate Braun (Long Branch, N.J.), Julia Vaas (Rotterdam, Netherlands), and Darla Kertesz (Paramus, N.J.) each recorded two shots on the day. Ummels, Carlie Koziol (East Rutherford, N.J.), and Bianca Revenga (Caracas, Venezuela) tallied one shot, all on goal.
Brieanna Martins (Clifton, N.J.) started in net for the Golden Falcons, facing no shots. Cabrera came into the game 12 minutes in to face nine and save six. Bloomfield's goalkeeper, saw six shots and saved five.
Felician women's soccer ends the 2022 season with a 2-14-2 record, 1-11 in CACC play.
