Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Deiker Padrino (Bogota, N.J. / Bogota) netted a career-best 28 points off the bench to highlight the Felician men's basketball team's New Year's Eve matchup at Jefferson, where the host Rams posted a 95-78 win in CACC play.
Padrino made 9-of-13 from the field and 6-of-8 from long range in his career performance in 31 minutes of play. Anas Amos (Newark, N.J. / Newark East Side) also fared well shooting with 19 points off 8-of-14 shooting. These efforts hoisted Felician to its best field goal percentage of the season at 52.8 percent (28-of-53), making 9-of-16 threes and 13-of-25 free throws. The Rams' shooting was just as effective at 52.2 percent (35-of-67), bolstered by Erik Timko's 36 points in which he converted on 13-of-17 and 5-of-9 on threes. Jefferson connected on 15-of-35 from long range and 10-of-15 from the line.
Jefferson started the game off taking a 25-8 lead before Felician got into double digits with under 12 minutes left before halftime. The Rams led by as much as 28 in the first half to go into halftime leading 57-31. The Golden Falcons responded in the second half making 68.2 percent (15-of-22), where Padrino made 16 of his points and Amos 13. This display helped Felician cut down Jefferson's largest lead of 35 to 17 by game's end.
The Golden Falcons, now 4-9 overall and 0-4 in the CACC, prepare to start the new year off strong hosting Alliance on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 8:00 p.m.
