Box Score Philadelphia, Pa- Felican University's Women's Soccer Team couldn't catch a breather against Holy Family as they lost, 9-0, on the road at Tiger Field.
In the opening minutes of the first half, Tigers Gianna Monaco and Allison Loper were quick to put 2 goals on the scoreboard. The first shot of the game for the Golden Falcons wasn't until the 20-minute mark by Anne Noonan (Hawthorne, NJ) who shot just wide of the goal.
Noonan (3), Carlie Koziol (3) (East Rutherford, NJ) and Kate Braun (2) (Long Branch, NJ) attempted to resuscitate Felician as they are they only three players who recorded a shot in the contest and with at least one shot on goal. Just past the 48-minute mark, Koziol shot the ball high and away from the keeper, but it was deflected by the cross bar.
Holy Family dominated both sides of the field as they only allowed 8 shots, 4 being on goal, but tallied 35 shots and 18 on goal. Freshman keeper Karlie Cabrera (Suwanee, GA) faced 12 shots and saved 7 and Julia Aguilar (North Bergen, NJ) made her third game appearance in the net and faced 6 shots and saved 2.
Last year, the Golden Falcons dropped to the Tigers on a corner kick, 1-0. The Tigers have won the last 4 meetings coming into this afternoon's game and leads the all-time series against Felician, 5-18-3.
The Golden Falcons (1-5-1/0-2 CACC) will be looking to record their first CACC win of the season next Wednesday against Alliance University at noon at Tryon Field.
