ORANGEBURG, N.Y. – Felician University women's volleyball team is defeated by Dominican University, 3-0 (12-25, 16-25, 14-25) at Hennessy Center in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up Tuesday evening.

Dominican (7-7, 5-2) posted a .347 kill percentage for the night. Sophomore, Aalliyah Ellis, lead the Charger offense with 12 kills on 15 attacks (.800). Felician (1-15, 1-5) Senior, Hannah Chiswick (Pittstown, NJ) had 10 kills and tallied 9 digs.

In the first set, the Golden Falcons were steady with the Chargers until Dominican rallied 4 points from a serving ace, 2 kills by Ellis, and an attack error. During the first few plays of the second set, Felician had a slight rally starting from Dominican service error, followed by a Catherine Lentsch kill (Elkborn, NE). Come the third and final set, the match was put away by the host, Dominican, ending the night with a 3-0 win.

Cailey Jones (Bel Air, MD) ended the night hitting .375 with 3 kills and Sara Betts (Goodyear, AZ) tallied 4 kills, one assist, and 4 digs. Setter Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, N.M.) ended the day with 18 assists and eight digs for the Golden Falcons, but was toppled by Chargers' Alessandra Pantoja (Lewisville, Texas) who had 34 assists and 11 digs. 

Felician returns to their home court in Rutherford to face CACC opponent Post University Wednesday at 7pm.
