RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Post University emerged from a defensive-minded Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's volleyball match with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-20) victory over host Felician University on Wednesday evening at Job Gymnasium.

Both teams were playing a conference match for the second consecutive night. Post (5-11, 3-5 CACC) came out on top despite assembling just a .096 team attack percentage. Senior outside hitter Lydimar Soto (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico/Concordia (N.Y.) College) paced the Eagles with team highs of 10 kills and 11 digs.

Senior outside Hannah Chiswick (Pittstown, N.J./Delaware Valley) collected 11 kills and nine digs and freshman opposite hitter Sara Betts (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) added six kills for Felician (1-16, 1-6). Golden Falcon senior setter Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, N.M./St. Michael's) had 18 assists and led all players with 16 digs.

Post used a 6-0 run to move ahead, 12-6 during Set 1, and never trailed again. Felician came as close as 23-22 before a Golden Falcon error and an Alyssa Groves (Phoenix, Ariz./Mountain Point) ace handed the set to the visitors.

Set 2 was tied on 10 occasions before Post pulled away for a 20-15 edge. The Golden Falcons answered, using two kills and a block by Chiswick during a 5-0 run which again tied the score at 20-20. But ahead, 22-21, the Eagles won the final three rallies, again closing on a Groves aces, and moved ahead two sets to none.

Felician again played from behind for most of Set 3 after surrendering six consecutive points to trail, 12-8. The Golden Falcons knotted the score at 18-18, but even again at 20-20, the hosts never scored again. Felician hit only .019 for the night.

Felician is home again on Saturday at noon to take on Georgian Court University in a CACC match to be played during its Homecoming Weekend.
