RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Women's Soccer hosted the University of Bridgeport at Tryon Field for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match up Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Falcons were only allowed one goal throughout the entire match as the Purple Knights packed on nine for the 9-1 CACC loss.
The Golden Falcons are sitting at 0-7-2 overall and 0-4 in the CACC.
After the first 45-minutes of play, the Purple Knights held a 2-0 advantage over the Golden Falcons to soon extend that immensely in the second half.
Carlie Koziol (East Rutherford, N.J.) scored the lone green-and-gold point in the contest on a pass from
Bianca Revenga (Caracas, Venezuela) to avoid the shut out by their opposer.
The Golden Falcons recorded seven shots, four of them being on goal.
Kate Braun (Long Branch, N.J.) led the offense with three shots while Koziol and
Jalyn Tse (Bronx, N.Y.) had two.
Women's Soccer will be back in action on Saturday in Wilmington, D.E. to play Goldey-Beacom for another CACC match-up at 12:00pm.
