CALDWELL, N.J. - Felician volleyball capped off their final regular season match of the year at Caldwell University Wednesday night. In the event, the Golden Falcons skidded past the Cougars for the 3-2 win and overall series victory as they are locked in the N#2 seed in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference post season standings. 

Here's What Happened: 

• Felician dominated the first set when they held the hosts to a whopping six points while the green-and-gold steadily ran away with the 25-6 win. 
• Roles eventually reversed through the second when Felician's momentum would come to a halt after their 10th point and Caldwell piled on eight points for the 10-19 advantage. The Golden Falcons would post only two more points in the set to drop 12-25 for the 1-1 match tie.
• The rest of the match would volley in points and Felician would take the third 25-22 and the Cougars the third 24-26. 
• In the all-or-nothing final set, the Golden Falcons got out in front swiftly on kills by Sara Betts (Goodyear, A.Z.), Karla Maldonado (Morovis, Puerto Rico), Sally Plagainos (Pearl River, N.Y.), and Megan Barker (St. Catharine's, Canada), 9-3. The hosts attempted to break the Felician rally with three-consecutive points, but the green-and-gold denied win access when Betts and Barker recorded the final kills of the match to bury the Cougars for the 3-2 match win. 

Top Players of the Match:

• Maldonado tied the all-time match record with eight service aces throughout the conference match while also leading the team with 16 kills. 
• Barker sat right behind the junior with 10 kills and Betts 7.
• Rylee Botelho (Fairhaven, M.A.) and Sophia Watterson (Bowling Green, K.Y.) aided in the Felician offense by recording 17 assists apiece. 
• Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, N.M.) continues to add double-digit digs to her all-time record when she snagged 25 Wednesday night.

The Felician volleyball squad capped off their regular season with a 13-14 overall and 11-5 CACC record. With their seeding in the North Division, they will host the first round of the CACC Postseason in JJJ Gymnasium at 6:00pm Tuesday, Nov. 14. Opponent TBD - STAY TUNED!
