RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Felician women's basketball was coming off a 2-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference week as they jumped right back into non-conference play and hosted Southern New Hampshire University Saturday afternoon. The Golden Falcons trailed by 18-points in the second half, however, the Penmen's 72% free-throw percentage allowed them to hand the hosts the 69-72 loss.
Here's What Happened:

- With the Golden Falcons only being able to tally six points in the second, the Penmen ran away with a substantial lead 24-38 at the half way point.
- The Penmen opened the second half of play the same way they ended the first; they ignited a 8-4 run to hold their largest lead of the afternoon of 18, 28-46, however, Sarah McSpadden (Melbourne, Australia) put the green-and-gold back into the contest a few plays later with a three and cut the deficit into single digits, 42-58.
- A Felician comeback was in sight as they were able to close out the third trailing 51-56, as they boasted a 27 point third quarter compared to the visiting 18. In the final stanza, Felician found a rhythm and Traore put the Golden Falcons down by four with another layup and later on, Valle would put the lead in arms reach when she netted a pull up jumper for an and-one opportunity to trail by 2, 65-67.
- The Golden Falcons come back was eventually ceased after the Valle three-point play and the Penmen netted their final pair of freebees for the 69-72 victory over Felician.
