Box Score RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Felician Men's Soccer opened up its 2023 season with a home opener against East Stroudsburg University at Tryon Field Thursday afternoon. After trailing 2-1 after the first half, the Golden Falcons dropped to the Warriors 4-1. 

23-minutes into the first half, the Warrior posted the first goal of the afternoon followed by a penalty kick goal 10-minutes later to put the Golden Falcons down 2-0. From there, the green-and-gold gave the offensive push with three consecutive shots and on the fourth, Lorenzo Ferrari (Palestro, Italy) found the back of the net after a breakaway, 2-1. 

The Warriors came out of intermission with a quick goal at the 47th minute to continue to edge the hosts 3-1, however, by the end of the event, the opposer held a 4-1 advantage and shut out the hosts for Felician's first loss of the 2023 season. 

Felician were out shot 17-14 in the event while green-and-gold keeper Emanuele Moretti (Rome, Italy) five of his nine shots faced.

Men's Soccer will be back in action this Saturday to host St. Michael's (VT) College for a 3:00pm non-conference match-up at Tryon Field.
