Koziol’s Second Half Goal Draws a Tie Against Southern Wesleyan

Box Score CENTRAL, S.C. – Felician Women's Soccer kicked off the holiday weekend with their second game in South Carolina. Saturday afternoon, the green-and-gold faced off with Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C. where a second half goal forced a tie, the squad's second of the trip.

Felician managed to get off 11 shots while putting six of those on goal. However, 20-minutes into play, the Warriors managed to put the ball past the Golden Falcons' keeper to be out in front and to enter halftime with a 1-0 lead.

13-minutes into the second half, the Golden Falcons put on the offensive pressure against the hosts as they managed to record six shots compared to the Warriors' one. Out of those six, Jalyn Tse (Queens, N.Y.) kicked the ball towards goal that bounced off and around her defender to find the foot of Carlie Koziol (East Rutherford, N.J.) for the tying goal.  

As time began to wind down, Southern Wesleyan posted two shots in an attempt to give the Golden Falcons the loss, but with one sailing wide and green-and-gold keeper, Alexis Lambertino (Hammonton, N.J.), capturing the save, the scored remained 1-1.

The Women's Soccer squad wrapped up their trip to South Carolina with a 0-0-2 record. The travel back to Rutherford, N.J. to prepare for another non-conference match-up against the College of Staten Island at 1:00pm at the CSI Dolphins Soccer complex.
