RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Felician Women's Volleyball (3-10 / 1-2 CACC) dropped to hosts East Stroudsburg Warriors in Pennsylvania for a non-conference match-up Tuesday evening, 0-3.
Megan Barker (St. Catharine's, Ontario) led the green-and-gold offense with eight kills while
Sara Betts (Goodyear, A.Z.) and
Sophia Watterson (Bowling Green, K.Y.) had seven. Watterson aided in the offensive play with 17 assists and
Miquela Martinez (Santa Fe, N.M.) recorded 14 digs on the defensive end.
The Golden Falcons dropped in three sets (13-25, 17-25, 22-25) to the Warriors as they manage to record 31 team kills compared to the hosts 43.
Despite the first two sets favoring the Warriors, the green-and-gold held a 13-8 lead advantage after a five point rally on two Warrior attack errors, two Barker kills and a Watterson ace. As the score became tied at 16, ESU went on a rally of their own to flip the score in favor of themselves to ultimately run away with the third set and overall match win.
Women's Volleyball will wrap up their non-conference schedule on Thursday when they travel to Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, C.T. for a 7:00pm match time.
